We have spent many hours researching each state for it's laws concerning both native species and exotics (non-native species). For each state we have listed:- Native species for that state
- Laws and regulations governing:
(a) Possession limits, permit requirements and rules concerning buying and selling for personal use in that state
(b) Laws concerning the taking of turtles from the wild in that state
(c) Commercial regulations in that state
- Links to that state's main wildlife website
We have condensed the laws to summarize the important points. Please understand that we are not lawyers and the summaries are our interpretations of the existing laws and regulations for the convenience of our visitors. The information contained is in no way to be considered legal advice.
